It's a bright day
Through the windows I can see
Treetops and the sky, even the moon,
Rolling at invisible speed beyond the veil of blue.
I imagine a bright day on the moon,
White surfaces and sharp shadows,
No atmosphere to keep the illusion of a bright day,
No oxygen to intoxicate the living
So that they hallucinate
Bright days and blue skies
That hide them from the depths of
Darkness.
